Well I avoided the result so I could watch it on TV - thought I'd have a quick look on here to see whether it was worth watching
as I had other things to do.

hmmm..... 3-0...riiiiiight  :suspect:

I didn't say it was 3-0.  St.Gallen had at least 3 brilliant chances to score, even Hull would of scored those goals.  So I said its like 3-0.

You're a Yank aren't yer?

Imagine a Yank saying what I originally quoted, "It's like, 3-0"

That's how I read it mate.

Just confusion then, if it was 3-0, I would of said 3-0 :(.  And there would of been a 1-0, 2-0 :( eluding to it :D.

I meant it as, its like 3-0 since St.Gallen had so many chances, but it isn't because their finishing is as bas as Ronaldo from 2 yards with an open goal . Sorry :D

Thought Lucas , Pacheco and Johnson shone the brightest ,Pacheco,s ball control and lay offs were absolute class ,the kids definitely a superstar in the making ,albeit being slightly eager to impress .

I think that Lucas may have a huge opportunity this season, and I only hope he grasps it with both hands. With Alonso/Masch possibly out the door Lucas could well play a much more important role in the first team this season. Certainly from looking like he would never be more than a "fill in" for our top midfield players he is now in prime position should one leave.

Johnson had a great game even though he played out of position and could have scored!

JOHNSON: I'M LOVING EVERY MINUTE
Jimmy Rice in Switzerland 16 July 2009

Glen Johnson today spoke to .tv about his first week at Liverpool - and revealed he is loving every minute of life in a red shirt.
The right-back made his debut during the second half of our goalless draw with St Gallen on Wednesday after three days of intensive training in Switzerland.

"It felt fantastic out there - it was nice to get my first 45 minutes," said Johnson.

"Now I can get on with it. The boys have made me feel really welcome from the start and I enjoyed getting out there and putting in a performance with them.

"It's been brilliant out here - I've loved every minute of it. I'm looking forward to the season ahead."

The absence of Fabio Aurelio and Andrea Dossena meant Johnson filled in at left-back in our first pre-season friendly.

It is a position he has played before and the new boy is only too happy to adapt.

"I have played there before, though not recently. But I've been training there for the last few days and I quite enjoy it," he said.

Johnson almost marked his debut with a goal soon after his entrance - but the defender missed from 15 yards.

"I was very disappointed with that. I want to score every opportunity I get," he added. "I should have done better but it wasn't to be."
