Henderson 4-0...but what a move between Coutinho and Sterling prior to the goal some of the best passing I've seen in a red shirt

Lovren been really good and solid, Manni has slotted in really well and looks good going forward but could get caught out of position in the  EPL if he's not careful

good game comfortable win  :nod
phillipe coutinho you little gem you  :buttrock  what a game from the trickmeister. involved in everything today and we suffered for invention when he went off.
lovren and skrtel look decent together and would be my pairing for the season ahead. the system will still expose them if teams press hard when we are pussy footing it around at the back but hopefully less than last year.
glen johnson is a numpty who doesnt know what he's supposed to do in the opposition half.
good game from manquillo. thought his touch on a few occasions in the first half was ropey but overall he gave a good performance considering whats expected of him.
good game from gerrard who made some leg stretching interventions and tackles. no reason why he cant have another great season.
looking at our preseason i would say we are a hard side to beat especially if we have a 1st 11 fit. with lallana, markovic and maybe moreno to come in we should have enough to make top 4 again.
we do need another striker though.

Lovren was commanding, Manquillo  linked up with Henderson well and very comfortable on the ball, Can was neat and we can see the difference and what we missed once Lucas came in for him. Overall 3 very good addition and we still have Lallana and Markovic to come.  :)

Wow that was impressive even if it was only a friendly. Lovren, Coutiniho and Sterling were incredible ... I feel bad picking those players out because everyone played well.
I felt Can was a tiny bit off pace, might have picked a knock early as his movement was abit slow off the ball.

Dortmund were missing a lot of their star names but never the less it was a very impressive performance.
Lovren looks like a good old fashioned no nonsense centre half but with the added bonus of being comfortable on the ball. If he can keep on doing those bread and butter things well our goals against column should look a lot better this year. Manquillo impressed too.
Coutinho, Sturridge and Sterling were outstanding though, on that form Sturridge looks as good as any striker in the country and Coutinho looks as good as any player on the planet.
Hendo deserves a mention too, what a player he's turning into.
The keepers kicking is still awful though.

Well hopefully this result will shut a few doom-and-gloomers up for a while :D. Unfortunately I had to miss this one so thanks to the guys who posted their reviews of the game. I hope I'll have time to see a replay.

Hummels and Rues but arguably you can say we were equally weakened by the loss of Suarez.

They were outplayed, and I would bet we would beat them again even with their missing stars.

Our fluidity and counter attack is deadly.

Just watched the replay, and I was quite impressed. Our whole attack looked very fluid and together. The passing was great, and we did well in creating chances. The defense looked much better as well. Lovren looks like he could be our most important signing if he can turn our leaky defense around. Manquillo did really well for somebody in his position.

Can only guess what the starting 11 would be if Markovic and Lallana were fit, but it's great to finally have a bit of depth.

Getting excited for next weekend now!
