Anyways... Hope Lucas does okay today, if him and Mascherano cant control the middle we'll need to rely heavily on Gerrard and Torres taking their chances and creating everything from higher up...

If he does anything in these sorts of games (score, create, assist) which might potentially make him more attractive to prospective buyers then it's worth the gamble of playing him. After all, the other ten players in the team are comfortably talented enough to see off this Pompey team. I hope Rafa is vindicated in his choice
