Are Aurelio and Benayoun carrying any knocks? Why is the Doss playing anyway?

No Aquilani, Kuyt starts as always and we're back to the magnificent Mash & Lucas partnership :D

How bad is Aquilani? Oh well at least we have Stevie and Torres both starting.

Where can I download Sopcast from? The site I tried asked me to text a number to get an installation code? Is that normal.

Ah fck that... Not too bothered about Dossena starting but i would have thought we'd go for Benny, Gerrard, Torres, Kuyt as our main attacking players... Dossena down the left is just for width, doesnt matter much i think he'll do okay...

Anyways... Hope Lucas does okay today, if him and Mascherano cant control the middle we'll need to rely heavily on Gerrard and Torres taking their chances and creating everything from higher up...

Aquilani has picked up a slight calf strain apparently.

Seriously, starting with Masch and Lucas again.

I'm sure Masch and Lucas will be enough for the likes of Portsmouth.

Dossena is better in left mid than at left back, and I don't think he's the sort of player who would take this game lightly - he wants to impress whenever he plays. If he does anything in these sorts of games (score, create, assist) which might potentially make him more attractive to prospective buyers then it's worth the gamble of playing him. After all, the other ten players in the team are comfortably talented enough to see off this Pompey team. I hope Rafa is vindicated in his choice

And even if it's 0-0 at half time and the Doss is dire, we can see off the opposition in a second 45 minutes with Benny on  :;):
