6 points in the league and progression to the semi's of the Carling Cup would be amazing although very doubtful.

What's very doubtful did we beat Chelsea away last year?
Did we embarrass city at anfield last year?

I don't see why you are being pessimistic. We can beat any team in this league no problem.

I just doubt we'll win all 3 matches.  Of course we can beat anyone on our day but I dont think we're consistent enough to do it in the space of 10 days.

Kenny has already suggested he will play the kids in the Carling Cup tie.

And you actually believe that?

Love the commercial they keep showing on FSC.  It basically just shows Agger beating the sh!t out of Torres' face over and over again.

Love it :D

I quite fancy us to nick three points. They look really vulnerable at the moment and Arsenal's display at Stamford Bridge offers hope. Defensively they look edgy and Torres continues to look like a rabbit in the headlights.

1:0 smash and grab from our Luis

Beat them home and away last year, however the lads that scored in those games now both play for Chelsea.

1-0 to us  Torres own goal defending a corner.

Or is it a Raul Meireles own goal when Torres defends the corner off his mate?

No coincidence that Raul Meireles has played almost every Premiership Fixture for Chelsea since he signed. Truth be known I miss him more than Torres but watching Suarez helps to ease the pain of Fernando's leaving !

This fixture has 0-0 written all over it with after Chelsea's 5-3 drubbing in their last home game and our propensity for draws. Emotions will be running high and I expect it to be tight with neither team risking a loss.

Yeah, Stevie's probably out, so it's a bit difficult to chose the right midfield for this one. I think that 3 players in midfield is a must or we're getting destroyed, think that much was obvious in previous games, even against Swansea. I think that what we need to do is relief Adam of as much as defensive duty as possible and let Lucas and his partner take care of the defensive part. Who should partner Lucas though is a huge dilemma for me. It's a bit risky but I'd go with Spearing. His style of play should bring balance in our midfield but I fear he might lack in ability and experience. My formation would be this:

                          Reina

Johnson     Carragher   Agger      Enrique

                 Spearing  Lucas

                       Adam

Kuyt                                      Downing

                      Suarez

Adam should show his best in this kind of formation where he's free to go forward. If things don't go well, we'll still have the likes of Henderson on the bench who can help if our midfield is lacking in creativity or Adam isn't doing his job well. We also have Bellamy and Carroll who can be real impact subs if used right in the right time. I believe we can do this, it won't be easy but I believe that our team is good enough and with the right tactic, line-up and use of subs we can win this and take the 3 points.

I bet suarez gets the ban over these 3 games too.
