can see the problems on the right side of our defence again. Gomez and Matip don't seem to be on the same planet.

Definitely lost half a yard

We have to tighten up in defence with some of the mids tracking back to help out. Defence needs that support. That was a world class save by Ali to keep out that header.

Mac was lucky not to give away a pen there as it didn't look like he got any of the ball, he didn't get any of it in the replay either    Definitely not a DM imo.

Said it a while ago that we have to get used to this from VVD. It's not a case of him being in and out of form but has clearly lost half a yard and this is what we are seeing. 2 seasons ago he had that ball cleared and Bowen would be eating bootlaces .

Plenty of work to do in the second so hopefully we continue in the same vein and kick on to get the win. Thinking we will need a change or two to make that happen.
