last season was one of his better ones, but i'm unconviced that he's a world class winger.  I would still take him though, because he would be an improvement over Downing

Does it really matter if he is a world class winger or not mate? It's not like we are only buying world class players anyway. We have maybe 2 or 3 in the whole squad anyway interspersed with average players. Walcott would be a good buy IMO so long as he stays injury free that is! At the same time I am a bit fustrated because I thought we would genuinely be going after better players but seems it's back to sell before you buy again.

I would take Walcott all day.

Our team is crying out for pace and he has bags of it.
His end product at times is wasteful but so are a lot of wide players.

I would seriously rather him than gamble big money on someone like Ramirez.

The would put him alongside Gerrard and more than Suarez !!

Our owners wouldn't give Sigurdsson more than 40 grand - no way will they give Walcott over 100grand

No earns less than 100K a week, more like 70K. Arsenal's strict wage cap structure has been a bug bear of many players there and the reason many have left.

As for Suarez, correct me if I am wrong but I am sure I have read we are trying to renegotiate a contract extension. This would almost certainly include a pay rise. I'm sure with Gerrard getting older and even less likely to leave he will lose his status as highest paid player at the club very soon. If it meant keeping Suarez, we would do it.

Don’t think he would be much of a step forward.

Injury prone, mentally fragile, terrible decision maker, loses possession far too often and far to easily, poor passer, inconsistent touch and finishing, constantly moaning about not playing up front, etc. 23 years old, 150 career games and 6 years for a big club like Arsenal, and 30 caps for England, yet people still talk about him in terms of potential.

Sure he has pace to spare and he’s stats are not too bad but he is detrimental to team play.

I think he would be a great buy ad would deffo fit into a 433 formation playing on the right side with Suarez on the left and Fabio in the middle.

People say he isnt very good but his stats say different

20 odd goals and 20 odd assists in the last 2 years!!!  thats pretty good!!!

Quite a few rumours on twitter but that would be strange with the manager just leaving to go on the tour.

Yes but we would have to get rid of a few - Adam, Aquilani etc

so, is there any reason why, Walcott would willingly leave a team playing in the champions league to join us? Unless Arsenal are looking to off-load him for a better option...

<edited> It was moved to the rumor mill already  :wwww

he can get lost if he thinks we'll pay him the £100k a week he wants to stay at arsenal.
