Telegraph reporting that Man City wasn't keen on matching his 200k wage demand, but Chelsea did.

Chelsea's current front line:

    Marin     Mata     Hazzard

                 Torres

and they're after another striker, rumoured to be Hulk.

That could be an incredible front four......

That's pretty ridiculous, although I'd expect Mata and Hazzard to switch spots, or even have Marin on the left and Mata on the right.  If torres started to really show up then they could do some damage, but we'll have to see if Marin works out, and we'll have to see exactly what Hazzard is capable of in this league.

Ability aside, I haven't liked one bit the way he's handled all this by tantalising the media about his next move and then announcing it publicly on twitter. Both that and the way he's conducted himself for his national team suggest he is a bit of a *****. Perfectly suited to Chelsea really.

Totally agreed

He has loved the media spotlight

And has pathetically whored himself out to the highest bidder

Ya if it's true he went to chelsea because they offered him that much, then you really just lose any respect you could have had for him.  Love where football's heading.

Chelsea will have a top player on their hands and he will score plenty for them but I think is overpriced at reported 34 mill

Chelsea can afford it and with Abramovich as Director of Football they dont need
a manager.

They will have a right go this year them boys and you would expect both Manc
clubs will be looking over their shoulders with the oligarch on a hot streak.

By taking Hazard he is proving a point to City that hes still in the game, just as
he did when he took Torres, its all posturing with him.
