Not sure why people on this link's comment section are blasting Hangeland? Hangeland is one of the players I have always rated since signing for Fulham. No wonder Arsenal were prepared to pay big money for him last year. We could do well signing him & getting rid of the Greek Yeti, & also good replacement for Carragher who is nearing 33 as of next January.

I would welcome a move for Hangeland. Big, strong centre back who would add quality to our squad. Far far better than the greek and would leave us with 4 decent CB's in Carra, Agger, Skrtel and Hangeland. Next is a new LB....please not Konchesky ???

yeah .. that was on the bbc:

Hodgson, who is not allowed to sign Fulham players as part of his severance deal with the London club, added: "I don't think there's anybody here at the club who would welcome losing them."

But I'm not so sure, if a player WANTS to leave, and the to clubs can agree on a fee, then it should be allowed to happen, but then its not as its banned by a line in Roy's severence package... surely it should be allowed?

Not that I care about it too much but Hangeland is good in the air, which is something we've be lacking since Hyypia left

Hangeland is a great central defender who would be a quality addition - it would be interesting to see what would happen if Hodgson attempted to go back and sign players from Fulham, even those who had declared their intentions to leave.
