Reportedly looking to return to European football. Big, powerful striker, rocket of a shot and he is available for FREE. Obviously has had a few issues with commitment, but on a free surely worth having a look at?

Thoughts...

He was on £40,000 a week at Flamengo before a 40% pay rise, not exactly astronomical.

Not worth the trouble.

Like most brazillian players, he can get very moody. Can we risk with a player that could easily ask for a transfer because he don't fancy playing Bristol Rovers?

Thanks but no thanks.

If had a manger with good man management skills he would be worth looking at with the view to a one year contract but if Rafa were to manage him it would end in guaranteed disaster.

He would definately be worth a chance, but i have heard he prefers Roma.

Worth a chance and to be honest the fact that he has had a shady past can only work in our favour in terms of his price. If he was of sound mind and still in form at a top European Club we wouldn't have a cats chance in hell of getting him. But of course his personality has always been an issue wherever he goes.

Id still give it a go though, come on we have Jovanovich as backup to Torres? We need another established striker fast.

This is a nonsense rumour.  There is no way in hell a manager like Benitez will sign a player like Adriano.  In terms of discipline Benitez is as tough as they come and Adriano is a borderline alcoholic by all accounts.  No chance.

its not even a rumour.just somebody thought it would be a good idea!
in that case we should sign sakho frenchu21 international who is top darts on fm2009 and joe mattock who becomes englands 1st choice left back.not to mention marcelo who can be picked up for 4m footy manager and he will become hardcore:p

He's clearly not the same Adriano as of 4 years ago, so I'd take a pass on this purchase.

It would be a massive risk to go for him. But you cant doubt the lad's ability on his day.
