Liverpool among favourites for cole

Relax - its not Carlton.....but there are suggestions that we are among the favourites to sign Joe Cole in the summer when his contract runs out. He is apparently free to sign a deal now as his current contract expires in the summer and i would absolutely love to see him come to Anfield. The only problems will be that Man City are the other team linked and Cole will probably have high wage demands. I would move heaven and earth to get Joe Cole to Liverpool.

not sure if this will happen to be honest but can't say i wouldn't mind him here

he is good on the ball and although we have not seen much of him this season i think he could do a good job for us, he does seem to have a want for the game that is missing in a lot of players today

so if it come off fair play

Couldn't see that ladyboy swapping his soft southern lifestyle for a harsh one in the North. He'd be like a fish out of water...
I do like him as a player though...

He's a wet ponce who's idea of tracking-back is filling out his betting slip backwards.

No, thanks - I'd rather eat a horse's a*sehole.

Good player, the type of player we need.

I'd love to see Joe Cole at Anfield, but I dont reckon Rafa would as he is far too attack minded...  if only!

I'd take a bit of creativity at no cost even if at the expense of tracking back. We can afford up to three players in the side purely for their attacking, it isn't as if the likes of Torres don't help out defensively so why pack our side with players who do defend? Even if a sub or sold at a profit I can't see this being a bad signing

I think we'd be dreaming if we thought he would come anywhere near Anfield....Not a Benitez type player and his wages would be silly, there is no physical way Benitez would entertain that idea.

He would have to most likely take a pay cut.
If he wants away from chelsea he`ll no doubt be looking for two things.... his wage demands and an assurance of regular first team footy. Im not sure he would get either, we all no about our finacial state and we have Babel, Riera, maxi, yossi and the serb who play down the left and half of them plus Kuyt who play down the right so im not sure we could promise that either.
Good player but there are other areas that should have our attention first.

I would love to see him here but his problem at Chelsea seems to be the wages they are offering, so to my mind if he does leave Chelsea then he will go where the money is and that would be to City.
