can't be ar'sed doing a full translation (ivan!!!!!) but the gist of it seems to be that espanyol have closed the deal with this guy - who's tall, good in the air and scores a decent number of goals - until the end of the season. there's been a fee of 400,000 pretty much agreed but it may be less if another player, Pillud, is thrown in.

then it looks like from next season he's ours, but we're going to let espanyol have him on loan, in exchange for their defensive midfielder (!!) Kaidho.

i may have this all wrong so i'd wait on word from sabre before taking anything serious from it...

I don't know what that says about him but apparently he's going to Espanyol for six months to get accustomed to European football, while we work out a work permit for him. At 6'6" he does look good.

Sorry lads, I miss the rumour mill many days.

BTW, yesterday it was our April fools day.... and in those days the press always make up a signing completely (it's a classic). Let me check the story first.

Yes it seems a "Day of the innocent" joke.

anyway

The Catalan club couldn't agree a buy out clause for the loan because the player is going to play in Liverpool next season. Rafa Benitez has agreed the loan deal so that the player adapts to European football. In exchange, Liverpool will play a friendly at Cornella and will loan their young Cameroon holding midfielder Has Kaihdo.

:D

Has Khaido, stands for "Has caído", which means, "you bought the joke" :D

P.S. For urgent translations PM me lar!! I don't open all the threads these days.

That "joke" would've been better if half of us had even heard of the guy

it was a joke for the Catalans I am guessing, wasn't meant for Australians or Liverpool fans :D
