Barella would be a very exciting signing. He works hard, and is very good at running with the ball. I can see why we'd be looking at swapping Naby, because Barella is the player we thought Naby was going to be.

Would be a good move for us and Naby. Especially with his contract winding down.

Reports are it looks like Naby is on the verge of signing a new contract ,I'm delighted by this as his talent is unquestionable .I would hate him to go to a top European team and exponentially improve the sides quality to the extent he was coveted by any of the Prems big hitters the very next season. The lad is top quality and this cant have escaped the manager, I totally expect us to keep him and apparently this is why he's our main priority after our purchases.

have I been watching a different Naby Keita? When I've seen him play he loses the ball, gives it away and generally looks lost. Maybe I missed something.

He’s a gifted player, unfortunately he doesn’t do it enough for us. Cannot keep waiting for his breakthrough where he becomes an undroppable player.

I randomly picked some footage to watch back to see if I'm missing it. during a 34 pass move he passed twice to another Red but the other player had to alter their run, as the ball went past them, and 1 pass bobbled of his blooming shin as he mis controlled a simple ball! I just don't see it I'm afraid. I don't think he's any better than some of the younger lads we have coming through

We didn't originally buy him to be one, but Naby had a really good season as a squad player. Covered Thiago and Henderson well and had some big games against Chelsea in the LC final, City in the FA cup semi final (completely nullified Bernado Silva), and Man Utd in the league. Stayed fit for the bulk of the season and started 19 games for us across the League and Champions League. He has a year left on his contract and sounds like we're trying to extend it.

There must be 100 better players than Naby who we could have got for the same money. He's another of those players that we won't let go of for some reason.

Maybe the team sees him as better than his current market price. I do think there is a player there that has not consistently showed up. A mixture of bedding into a new team and country/language and injuries but signs he is a good player last year.

Can't say I've seen anything from Naby to justify another contract.

Would love to be proved wrong next season.

He certainly isn't the player we thought we were getting and I'd say the club feels the same. He was a big signing for a big fee and 4 seasons later he still isn't a regular starter. He doesn't look like he has got to grips or fiits the system we play. Based on that I can't see how a new contract would be justified.

Looks like Naby doesn't want to sign a new contract. If we could get 20-30 million for him I'd be more than happy.. as long as we go out and replace him of course.

Bellingham would do or even Rice. Imo Rice would be a decent successor to Hendo

The Bellingham rumours have started to really pick up pace today. I think the plan is for next year, but he does have alot of teams interested in him ... so we might be forced to make a move this summer instead.
