Judging by the way it's being reported, sounds like Jota might be pretty close to being done. Think it would be smart signing and a better option than Sarr.

Ki-Jana Hoever on the way out to wolves for 10m?

This is more a normal signing for the club. 23 and still room to grow under Klopp.
Pressure to sell a few players now....

Not the worst signing in the world if it happens, but £35m is a lot of money for someone who might not be an improvement on Origi.

Well, he is young and has been doing well at wolves and comes from A. Madrid so the hope is Klopp can mould him like all the other 35 million signings like Mane, Salah and Firminho.
What everyone forgets is that those 3 weren't world class when we signed them and was in a similar situation as Jota...
And with Hoover going the other way it's more like 25 m+player deal....

If we're splashing 35mill on Jota I wonder why we didn't just pay the little extra for Werner.

Have to say, and we all know Klopp knows best, but I haven't seen a whole lot of Jota to make me believe he's worth 35M. I don't think Sarr is worth close to 40M either anyway.
Who knows, maybe he sees he can mould Jota into. Bobby like player though I thought he was a winger?

He’s quite tricky that Jota, quick too, in a better team he could be a real handful.

Paul Joyce now saying the fee is closer to £41m, which could rise to £45m in bonuses. Ridiculous fee IMO, Werner was literally just a few million more.

It does seem a strange one, there must be something else that has not been reported. Klopp has not led us wrong yet so I trust his reasons. It seems we did not even haggle for Jota so Klopp really wanted him.

Werner wanted to be 1st pick, not 4th.

Jota's possibly prepared to play a support role this season whilst developing his game, anticipating that he'll become the preferred choice over one of the 3 by next season.

Yes, a nice little offset against the Jota fee.
