Apparently James Pearce has tweeted that there will be no incoming signings today and it's highly unlikely that we'll see any departures either. The club have had one or two offers for Ings but none of them anywhere near our valuation of the player.
Obviously players can join European clubs right up till the end of August but after tonight we can't sign anyone and none of our fringe players can join other English clubs.

To be fair Chelsea have already broke the world transfer record for a goalie and have also got a new CM pairing in Kovacic and Jorginho, if they manage to sign Fekir and keep hold of Hazard then they would look pretty effin strong imo.
Apparently their new manager likes to attack as well.

Kante Kovacic and Jorginho is a tasty midfield 3. They're shaky everywhere else though.

Looks like Fekir has agreed personal terms with Chelsea. I gotta admit I'm gutted, and I'm sure he wanted to come here too.

Daily Star and the Express.. But nothing on SS as of yet. Lyon now want £72m for him, so it looks like they're pricing him out of a move this window.

Apparently loan deals can still happen up to the end of August

Everton have had a good last day, that Yerri Mina looks an imposing figure, I wouldn't have minded having him here tbh.
They have also signed Bernard and Andre Gomes from Barcelona who was highly rated a few years back, he's still only 25 now.

Danny Ings has completed his one year loan move to Southampton.. after the loan Southampton will buy Ings for £18m upfront and £2m in add ons.

So buying players is closed but teams from out of UK can buy our players??

It is fairly messed up if a team was to lose a main man.

He was never going to get a game this season, with Shaqiri, Sturridge and solanke about.

Thats it in a nutshell, he had a simple choice really, either lead the line for a premier league club or lead the line for our U23's.

Southampton can't be broke after all the money we have given them in the last few years. I'd say they struck that deal because of reservations about Ings fitness. Maybe we should have tried something like that for Fekir.
