I've actually seen him in a few games this season (mostly because I was watching Lucas). Solid in all departments, apart from distribution. £35-40m is too much though. About £25m should be fair I think.

Really shame we won't be getting Alisson though, would have fit like a glove.

Alisson looks so confident even with the ball at his feet.. that would settle the nerves of our defenders in big games. We need to spend big on a keeper this summer, signing Pope or Butland would be too big of a gamble and we can't afford another year of failure.

Any chance of stealing Milinković-Savić under Manure's noses?

This kid looks to be the real deal, and totally dictated the opening game against Costa Rica.

Will be very interested to see how he plays against Brazil.

Maureen will just play him out of position and f**k his development up, come to Liverpool big Sergej where you can shine!

Allegedly Fekir being offered to other clubs now....sounds like the owner is trying to get as much as he can in a bidding war, if true....

What's annoying for Lyon is Fekir is only gonna have 15/20 minutes per game to shine at this WC. I think they did want a bidding war for him but have realised this is probably not going to happen now so they're offering him to clubs already.

I'd be happy to see a bidding war break out for Sturridge but he'd even get injured taking part in that...

Sturridge will see out his contract here, after the West Brom debacle where he played the grand total of 3 minutes and then was out for the rest of the season no club is going to hand over good money for him.
It's a real shame because Danny was a genuinely gifted footballer, when he was 100% fit he was something else (the quickest LFC player to 50 goals no less), him and Suarez literally tore up the division, I remember them putting 4 past a good Spurs team at WHL, 3 past United at Old Trafford, 5 past Arsenal at Anfield, 6 past Newcastle at St James Park and 6 past Cardiff on their own patch too. They were a devastating partnership.

Asking £15m for someone as injury prone as Sturridge is asking alot. I'd be happy to just release him from the wage bill to be honest. Looks like we're interested in Nick Pope for £18m .. probably not our first choice but a way cheaper alternative.

And Fekir agent says a deal to us could still be on the cards.

Yup no team will risk buying him, when does his contract run out? Maybe he will go out on loan again.

Yeah don't see anyone touching Sturridge with a barge pole to be honest. Maybe some kind of deal can be structured where we get paid a fee if he completes a certain number of games for any prospective club etc but not holding my breath.

He has one year on his contract left and with his injury record, any club showing any kind of interest will have the upper hand.

Arsenal have signed Leno for £20m. That seems really cheap for a keeper of that quality, wonder why we didn't try to get him for that.

My guess it's because we don't think he's better than Karius.

Pope does look pretty solid tbf, the problem is so did David James, Brad Friedel, Chris Kirkland and about half a dozen other keepers before they arrived here. Our keepers jersey is one of the heaviest shirts in football.
Good to hear that the Fekir deal is not completely dead in the water as well, yes signing him would be a risk but I really do think that he would be the perfect link between our midfield and attack, a 'front 6' of Salah, Firmino, Mane, Fekir, Keita and Fabinho would rival City's imo.

Alireza Jahanbakhsh being suggested as an alternative to Fekir. Plays his club football in Holland and is representing Iran in the world cup.
