Looks like Thomas Lemar is off to Atletico for £52.7m.. which means either Monaco were trying to Rob us blind last year with the £90m valuation, or his value has rapidly dropped with him having a poor season.

Hakim Ziyech looks set to leave Ajax, he wants to play at a higher level of football. He's been linked with Roma but I wouldn't mind us taking a gamble on him, he's a really classy player.

Links to Gonçalo Guedes of PSG seem to be coming up more regularly. Thoughts from those familiar with him?

Strong links of us going for this Shaqiri still.

I hope the Fekir deal still happens though.

He is greedy yes but business wise he's smart. After a good season he is demanding for more. I just hope that with all these money the players earn, they do ALOT for charity.

With the WC starting i suspect there won't be much happening on the transfer front for a while now.

He is so over rated. In that City team he should have more like 40 goals but he finishing is shyte. Watch him for England and he is average

I've never seen that Guedes guy play before but he looks spectacular on his highlights. If he can play CAM he would be a real handful with his speed and his direct play.

Apparently some radio station in Stoke is saying that we have triggered Shaquiri's release clause (believed to be £12.5m), according to reports he's going to have his medical after the WC.
Don't know how reliable these rumours are like.

Edit - the Echo has just rubbished the reports, they say we are interested but we haven't triggered his buy out clause.

Would be weird if we triggered the release clause as soon as the world cup starts. You would imagine we'd do it as soon as Switzerland get knocked out.

That's a bargain as well matey, with rumours of him going for 90m. I just think he could have been a great signing for us and Jurgen would have got the best out of him

What would be the logic in signing him!? He is not going to win you the champions league or league title, never played for a big club.

Tells you the whole story. He has afew tricks up his sleeve, so did Emre Can.
