All these stories are emanating from Spain, as far as we are concerned he is not for sale and that's that.
FSG aren't soft, they know that if they sell Phil this summer then they may as well sell the club as well because there is no way they will get the fans back onside after that.

It certainly will, only dampener is the local press in Southampton state that the Saints stance still stands and they won't sell him
They would be very foolish to allow an asset of that value to rot away in reserves

There are 3 possible outcomes to this:
1. Chel$ski place a bid which is excepted. Then we place bid which is also expected - player wants to sign for LFC and he does -
Klopp status as the 2nd coming goes through the roof.
----
2. He remains at Southhampton - and he'll continue to be a part of their starting 11
----
3. No bids come in for him and he is left standing with his D!CK in his hand
----
4. Chel$ski place a bid which is excepted.
Then we place bid which is also expected which starts a bidding war. LFC pull out due to high rising price tag. He joins Chel$ki, ridiculous LFC / Klopp in the press - we all feel like sh!te, Manure and the rest of the league HORSE LAUGH at us - and life goes on.
----
OH; That's 4 possible outcomes

So Van Dijk hands in transfer request - Let the games begin.
All depends now what will happen. If Southampton are adamant they don't want to deal with us then Van Dijk will just choose option 2 Chelsea.

Couldn't give a flying f**k about Southampton.
They are a nothing club.
Owners and our suits need to grow a pair and go buy him. If we blow 70m on him, who the f**k cares as long as we get home and strengthen our back line.

One advantage is that, as part of the deal for VVD, Liverpool can offer them a ready-made, top class replacement, in Sakho. As much as I want to keep him - in fact I'd love to see him partner VVD - Klopp wants rid, so it's essential that Sakho is a part of any potential deal. Let's face it, they're not going to be able to sign a better CB than Sakho - especially this late in the window.

It's annoying to lose Sakho but it's pretty clear Klopp doesn't fancy him so he has to be moved on. I'd rather it was abroad but needs be
