Stoke have apparently missed out on signing Mamadou Sakho on loan – and so have turned their attention to Manchester United defender Phil Jones.  ECHO

I don't think Sakho is going anywhere - He's being taught a thing or two re; life and his position as an LFC player.
Don't be too if Sakho returns better than ever and handed Captaincy or Vice Captaincy in the future...

What's klopp playing at so far from incoming and outgoing transfers we must be at least 10 million in profit. There seems like no more incomings and that means we have not rectified the LB spot and another solid defensive midfielder would ave been nice. What's with watching the fookin pennies probably saving transfers to pay for new stand wouldn't fookin surprise me.

If his job is to float around and be almost invisible , I agree.

IMO - One thing that fans need to recognise is that once upon a time heavy criticism would fall on the head(s) of Gerrard and Alonso...
These were spoilt days and knew that one day we would not have the likes of them in the team. Roll on the years and now our reality reflects this.
---
IF fans want to be critical of certain players then fair enough. But what yard stick are we really measuring them against?
IMO Wijnaldum has had a good start to the new season at a new club. He isn't a 'stick your boot in type of Midfielder' but he does possess composure and clever movement (he isn't static, he pulls players out of position for others to prosper); more so than the likes of Joe Allen, Charlie Adam and Jonjo (that latter I am a great fan of) to name but a few.
---
But if we are to subconsciously compare Wijnaldum too the likes of Alonso or Gerrard - Then we may as well compare Coutinho to Maradona...
We do have good players who in time will adapt into v good players under a v good style of play.
---
Another way to look at would be to ask the question...
Who was talking about Borussia Dortmund or its players in 2008?
---
Rafa is currently undertaking one of the biggest jobs in the English game. Perhaps the fans, the club and its owners now know that this is the time to let the man get on with the job in hand.
IMO - A similar scenario exists here at LFC - We need to allow the manger to:
A - Over throw what bull$hit was taking place under previous management
B - Be given time to recruit the RIGHT PLAYERS
C - BUILD AN UNSTOPPABLE RED MACHINE  :buttrock
---
Give it time and give it full support.

Baffles me mate. So basically we are happy with Milner and calamity Moreno at LB from now till Jan.

To be fair Milner has done a decent enough job there but bottom line is that he is filling in. Moreno can't be relied upon and it shows the lack of trust JK has in him when he is prepared to play a player out of position ahead of him. Glaring weakness and we have had all summer to address is and it doesn't look like anything is going to happen today. Really is baffling

£3.7 million was mentioned on Sky for Balotelli with possible add-ons if he actually performs.  Guess we can forget about those !!!  Surely we can do better than a free transfer even for this grade "A" Muppet ???
