If true, then there is definitely a new player at the football table.
With the kind of prices the east are willing to pay for players, perhaps it is possible for us to off-load a lot of our dross without losing too much finance?
May be, just may be - FSG knew that certain markets around the world were gonna open. Even tho the execution of buying young players has been in question, perhaps they aren't as dumb as some may think?

Got to say with everyone fit our frontline actually looks very healthy - it becomes obvious that the gaping holes in the side are at the back and in the midfield. I'd like to see us sort them more than anything in the summer

So Klopp's first two signings are a CM who is 6,3 and a CB who is 6,4. Looks as though he may be looking to add height to the squad.

I think Hernandez is a good player who would score goals for us and suit our style of play but I'm not sure about the idea of a straight swap. Benteke cost us £32m (an awful lot of money) were as Leverkuson bought Hernandez for £7m, what's more Hernandez is 28 in June.
I'd be up for it if Leverkusen threw a few quid in as well but a straight swap? Nah.

This season has been a tough one for all concerned, not just Big Ben. He offers a secondary path of play, which most teams can't cope with when he's on song + 32 mil seems rather wasteful for a striker who hasn't had a consistent strike partner to work with yet.
One more season and if he's not improved come next Jan, then sell him for 20m to China.
