Liverpool are reportedly looking to pull off a deal for Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Vazquez this summer.

The 23-year-old is currently out on loan at Espanyol, where he has scored twice in 19 La Liga appearances.

The Catalan club have the option to sign Vazquez on a permanent deal at the end of the season, but reports in Spain claim that Liverpool have joined the race for his signature.

The winger himself is said to be keen on an Anfield switch, and Carlo Ancelotti is happy for the player to decide where his future in football lies.

It is claimed that Madrid are holding out for at least £7m from the Reds, who already have a number of wide-men at the club.

However, with Rodgers implementing a new 3-4-3 formation, Vazquez would provide good cover on either flank.

Liverpool are said to be just one of a host of clubs who are interested in signing Lyon's young playmaker Yoann Gourcuff.

Injuries and a loss of form have halted his progress and he has struggled to live up to his billing as the new Zinedine Zidane but things appear to be heading in the right direction again and this has led his agent to claim there is interest in his player, whose current deal expires at the end of the season.

Manchester City have previously tried to sign the player, while Liverpool and Atletico Madrid made approaches during the January transfer window, according to Poulmaire.

"In any transfer window some foreign clubs are always knocking on the door for Yoann," Poulmaire told Sport Mediaset.

"In the past it was Manchester City who came forward, while this year it happened with Liverpool and Atletico Madrid.

"The top clubs follow him and know his talent and I am sure offers will come during the next transfer window."

Liverpool are reportedly 'desperate' to seal the £7.2million signing of Real Madrid's Lucas Vazquez at the end of the season.

Vazquez, who is currently on-loan with Espanyol, has been one of the stars of the La Liga season.

The Reds are said to having been scouting him a lot recently, and now reports say they're desperate to bring him in.

Madrid are willing to sell for £7.2million, and while Espanyol do have a clause to sign him first, Vazquez apparently prefers a switch to Anfield.

A fast, skillful and energetic attacker, he's scored three goals and got five assists this season.

Arsenal and Liverpool have not given up in their pursuit of Manchester City midfielder James Milner.

Milner, who joined the Premier League champions from Aston Villa for £26 million five years ago, is out of contract at the end of the season and could therefore be available on a free transfer.

City have offered the England international a new deal, but Milner has yet to decide on his future as he harbours serious concerns about where he fits into Manuel Pellegrini's plans.

AC Milan, Inter Milan and Roma were all interested in signing Milner in January, but he is reluctant to move his young family abroad.

And that could make it a straight fight between Premier League rivals Liverpool and Arsenal for his signature.

Both sides are monitoring his situation and are preparing to pounce should the 29-year-old make his mind up to leave City.

If I was Milner I'd probably wait to see who the next boss is cos Pellegrini is a dead man walking at city, I mean for free I'd love him at Liverpool.

Liverpool are scouting Lazio's Brazilian midfielder Felipe Anderson.

The Italian media is reporting Liverpool scout Paul Goldrick watched Lazio's 4-0 win over Fiorentina in Rome.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder played the entire 90 minutes as the Biancocelesti surged into the top three in Serie A, putting Stefano Pioli's men in pole position for a place in next season's Champions League.

Anderson, who has seven goals and eight assists in 23 matches this term, has been a key player in their European push and is contracted at the Stadio Olimpico until 2018.

But Lazio could reportedly cash in on the talented Brazilian if offers exceed £20million, with both Manchester clubs and Chelsea having also been linked.

Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho as the search for Steven Gerrard's replacement continues.

The 24-year-old has impressed for the La Liga outfit this season, with a string of fine performances not only yielding a first senior Spain cap, but also catching the eye of a number of clubs across Europe.

It is understood Napoli tried and failed to sign the defensive midfielder - who can also operate as a centre-back - in January, but it is the Reds who are now showing an interest in the player, according to Fichajes.

Of the same ilk as Liverpool's LA Galaxy-bound captain, it has been suggested there could be some movement from Anfield for the former Atletico Madrid man over the summer, with any potential transfer likely to be for a considerable amount.
