There are one or two reports saying that Luke Shaw will reject a move to United as well.

Doubt that there's anyone who wouldn't have him.

Lallana and Shaw would both be perfect for us, really hope we push the boat out and go for these instead of unheard of youngsters from obscure countries

On that note Mark Hughes says he hopes to sign Ousama Assaidi at end of season, wonder if southampton would take him and Borini in part ex for those 2 lol  :Oo:

So would I.

I think he would be perfect for us.
He has been playing in a side that press the ball like we do. He can beat a man and spot a pass and is a decent finisher too.

Hope we are definitely in for him.

I'd love to see him join us.  Would suck for my Fantasy Football team though.  Only allowed three players from the same club

Just heard on the radio that Lallana has said he'd prefer move to merseyside rather than manchester

Would you go in for them before or after the World Cup? I'd gamble and try and sign them before. Would be a huge sign of intent. I actually feel a bit sorry for Southampton but that's football.

Them? As far as I'm aware we are not in the running for Shaw mate. I think his price tag would be out of our range.

Deffo try and make as many signings before the WC really, can be quite difficult to get sensible business done afterwards

I think Shaw will more than likely end up at Chelsea.
I am sure I read that he supported them as a kid and his mum and dad live near their training ground.

he does look like a very good player but I cant see us paying 30 million for him.

Not only that CR but our recent record of getting late deals done isn't great, going by the saga last January our transfer negotiating team needed more than 3 months to seal a deal that Chelsea sorted in a day.

Our transfer team have a lot more ammo in their locker this time around. Minimum of 3rd place and automatic group stage CL qualification is going to help them immensely.

It might mean they set their sights higher Dev but it probably won't stop them trying to lowball everyone.
To be fair it's probably worked in our favour that we have missed out on a few of our transfer targets, the likes of Dempsey, Signurdson and Salah haven't exactly set the world alight at their new clubs, our transfer committee need to up their games a bit (although they did bring in Sturridge, Coutinho, Sakho and Ilorri)

I'm happy that the Lallana rumors are getting stronger. I have no reason not to believe that he prefers us over Chelsea and United, why wouldn't he? He would be a fantastic signing I believe, would definitely fit our style. The price mentioned for him doesn't sound so bad either (around 20-25m), considering he's English and all that.

a lot of tabloids are saying Lallana to Liverpool is actually going to happen.

fantastic signing if it's true, 25m might be a lot but he is a wonderful player.
