DISCLAIMER:
I am not saying there were no other factors that contributed to the results in those games. There are innumerable factors that contribute to most outcomes - especially in football where the variables are considerable. Lucas' performances were, however, of such a standard to be notably dissatisfied with, much more so than most other players on the pitch relative to the importance of the position he plays in.

I'd imagine it's linked to Alonso. Not necessarily him having to leave but that was all supposed to be sorted by the weekend. Parker was then due to come in early this week.
As the Alonso thing has dragged on it's probably meant that the Parker deal was delayed and now they're in Asia. I expect it's due to be sorted at the end of the week.

this story is just a bs born out the stories that alonso will leave.
If we were interested in a midfielder it would be someone with better passing than parker.

GYBS, haven't you ever heard of a strategy where you let your opponent's weakest players play and mark the most dangerous players because you know that you can't mark all of them so you'd rather take a calculated risk by letting your opponent's weakest players play... happens all the time in basketball... Lucas is one of our worst players and that's just what happened... you can choose to look at it another way though like you just mentioned herre...
