According to Marca, Rafa is planning to offer a bigger bid to Valencia for Silva than the one offered for Torres. He won't come for less than 20M, but according to Marca Rafa is very interested.
In the written paper, I've seen a photo of Alonso and Silva walking together with the hands in the pocket, Alonso was talking and SIlva listening. Looked like he was telling him what the club is about!!

He took quite a bit of time to score his first goal but he banged in some good ones after that . I don't think athletico will let us take him on loan as they'd prefer to sell and get the cash and fund a replacement .
He's a real toughie if you ask me as , he's matured and become twice the player he was at manu a couple of years back , his decision making has improved , he finds space better now and of course his finishing is much better . Personally if we are to go for any player from atheltico i'd rather it be aguero like many of us .
Forlan will cost at least 15 million and adding another 5 to 10 and arbeloa we could negotiating a deal for kun who would spark our attack and could play in the hole where gerrard is at the moment

Could Aguero and Torres play together? Maybe but I know it is only since Torres left Atletico that Aguero really came into his own. If we went for any other striker I would want them to be someone big who can be used a target man. Someone like Fernando Llorente, not someone like Torres who runs at defenders from the center which is very much like Aguero.

Like I said in the rumour thread, I think confirming Silva as a target can damage the morale of the wingers we currently have. Confirming our interest in him acomplishes nothing, might as well wait till summer to make a move. Why wouldn't he be interested, he's Spanish

Although we do need another striker for the squad and back up, i think the setup we have at the moment with Nando up front and Gerard just off is working well and did as well last yer.

True but we still need an established striker who can fill in for Torres or be rotated with the system.
