Why dont we make a play for arda turan?

Only 22 years old, can play both wings, we've seen him play against us 2 years ago in the champs league groups(3-2 win at home), he was very good that game. Also a star in Euro 2008. Lots of talent in the lad, big teams like AC have tried to sign him but Galatasaray didn't sell him.. but this year Galatasaray are going so bad they aren't going to make Champs League or UEFA Cup so I reckon he'll be leaving.
Anyone?

What makes you think Johnny Turk is upto EPL standard? Surely with 2 former Reds playing there if he was upto it they would have been on the blower already?

Mate, my point was I've been watching Spanish footie all season long, and hand on heart, I can't pick one single player who I'd say "Gotta have him...". As for Silva, the most recent game I saw him play was one or two games ago, can't remember who it was against, but he was poison....absolute cack...

One game for silva ? as opposed to the whole of last season when he was outstanding for valencia and then spain during the euros and the season before when he had to play as an emergency striker for then

I don't think he'd do well in the Premiership, is my point...And no, I don't think he was particularly brilliant during the Euros either. I think he's too hit and miss from the games I've seen - and yes, that includes the game the other night, but also over the past couple of seasons....
So my opinion is not just based on one game....
