We all know that with all Man City and Man Ure's action late last night, that we are falling way behind now four premierleague clubs.

Benitez bought only Riera and Keane of any note.

But i was thinking, none of us are happy but who would we have signed given resources? ???

I'm honestly nor sure who i'd like, Quaresman or Simao would be high up their.

I would have signed Van der Vart - £8million, Wright -Phillips - £8million , Owen £3million and Barry £18million..... job done. I wouldn't have sold Riise !

I don't think we need Barry TBH. Alonso is a better player when on his game, which he needs games to regain. But the others are very good shouts.

Some one clarify is there already a thread like this? And if so where the :censored: is it?

As I have just posted in another thread, I don't think Masch and Alonso complement each other as a pair as both like to play deep. I was thinking maybe Barry and Masch would be a better combination, with Barry playing further forward.

I dont agree with you about SWP, I don't rate him to be a top club player.

Hmmm...i think you'll be proved wrong when he gets Roninho and that around him. Better than any winger we've got and have had for a long time.

he certainly addressed all the areas that needed addressing, can't fault him on that.

despite this, i STILL think we're :censored: at right back, dubious at left back, very, very poor on the right of midfield, have a dilemna of robbie keane, whose signing creates more questions than answers, and wasted the best part of 3 months trying to sign gareth barry, leaving us with a disgruntled and out of form alonso.
