I have to agree

We'd have to pay 40-55m for him and why would they take installments when they could get it straight away from Chelski

Doesn't really concern us but thought some would be interested to know anyway.

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti’s bid to sign Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero after losing out to Real Madrid in the battle to sign Kaka looks to have stalled over the striker’s wage demands.

Aguero is understood to be asking for £11 million gross a season, or £220,000 a week, which would leave the Argentine striker as the highest-paid player in the Premier League by a distance.

The fee would also smash the British record £34 million Manchester City paid for Robinho.

The 21-year-old Argentina international scored 17 goals in 34 matches last season and Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon was understood to have opened talks with Atletico, with super agent Pini Zahavi acting as an intermediary.

Aguero, who is envisaged as a striking partner with Didier Drogba, stands just 5ft 7 in tall and has been hailed as the “new Maradona.”

He is engaged to the superstar’s daughter Giannina and they have a son Benjamin Aguero Maradona.

I thought Messi was the 'new Maradonna'? if hes asking for those wages hes a fecking idiot. Everyone should just tell him to p!ss off, then he'll have to setlle for less. All these high wages and fees will be the death of this sport

I think it's time for some much needed salary capping.

Now that Tevez is confirmed not going back to Utd im sure Chelsea will rather try for him instead of Aguero.

Ah i see benzema has gone to madrid , looks like you'll have to settle for second rate players this season even with all the cash you have. Ribery won't come and Aguero certainly won't as well.
