I have heard rumours that there is a part exchange being set up between us and Man City for Michar Richards and we will be letting Bellamy go in the opposite direction.

Obviously with Richards with being a regular at City he may not want the move because he isn't gaurenteed 1st team football at Anfield next year. On the other hand if Liverpool come knocking on the door for you, you should jump at the chance to play for the most successful British club. I think Bellamy would happily go to City because of his lack of football last season for us and with the signings of Voronin and probably Torres it looks less and less likely he will be a 1st choice striker.

I'd like us to sign Richards, he is built like an ox, strong and quick, as well as versitile. Richards could also be the replacement for Finnan in the coming years. If the rumour is true then I think we should snap City's hand off for the deal.

Your views.

Great ! if true. I read some weeks back that if he were to leave Bellamy would prefer a midlands club as his family were back in Cardiff . ???

Can't see it happening. City have money now & don't need to sell their top players. Richards is ambitious, but does seem to love the club, so I'd expect him to at least see how things go under the new ownership for a season.

Agreed but the recent disruption + delay in getting deal done and new management team in place will mean that Man City are way behind everyone else in terms of transfer activity. I think it's be a good time to move for Richards as he may just feel a little miffed at what's going on at Man City.

I would still rather see Bellamy used as a makeweight for Tevez!

I'd be very much for swapping Bellamy for Tevez as would most reds fans, could Javier have a quiet word in his ear while they're on international duty?

I think WHUFC however would be expecting something in the same price range as we paid for Torres as well as Bellamy can we afford two players of a price tag over 25 mill?

Dear Lord, when will people acknowledge that Tevez is owned by MSI. West Ham hold his registration, that's all, they may take a small slice of any transfer fee for their part in augmenting his value. But he is not owned by West Ham, they would not get anything like the substantial part of any transfer fee.

Maybe not but if we went in for Tevez we would still have to spend a great deal of money.

Not necessarily, there is the possibility of a loan similar to that of Mascherano's. If anything, I'd prefer this option as opposed to an outright sale.

Tevez will go to madrid surly.

Micah is very good player and under rafa he will only improve he will prove to the best replacement for finnin .
Better option then alves because alves is not proven in epl.

if Richards came to anfield he would be the ideal replacement for Finnan when Finnan becomes a bit part player. Also because of Richards' versitility he can cover in many positions if injury hit us.
