Different types of players mate, we need a creative player like Tevez though, especially since Garcia has gone.  :(

We really need to get some flair and creativity in the side.  Tevez playing of Torres would of been great.

Agreed. IMO Tevez could well be the jewel in the crown for Mun Utd (if they get him).

Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo, Nani, Scholes, Giggs and co all in attack  :oh:

Delighted with the signing of Torres and would love to see Torres and Tevez play together!!

hahaha.... pretty pathetic some of the posts around here...
hes a great player and shame hes off to manutd....
they now officially have a side thats better than ours in pretty much all positions (bar reina, gerrard and mascherano/xabi)
he would have been great for us and really should havefought for him if manutd do sign him on loan as BBC suggested....
REG i think said something about us signing backup players or low priced one (pretty much the same to me) ... i totally disagree... would put us at a huge disadvantage imo.... we didnt spend much... paid 20 mill for torres and are selling (bellamy, cisse, sinama, gonzales, garcia) for around 25 mill or so i reckon so if tha americans do give rafa say 30mill or so to spend he has almost 35 mill left to be spending...
id rather we go for the big names and forget about signing backup players for the time being... we need to improve our squad.... manutd are doing so and if we dont improve...we lag behind...

But would they work together, since both play basically the same roles?  It will be very interesting seeing those two trying to play together.  One thing's for certain...they'll be the ugliest front pairing in the history of football!  :p

F#ck 'em. In fact we need to stop building them up so much. A large part of their titles in the 90s were given a little nudge because of the numbers of teams unwilling to try and actually beat them. They got point after point against teams looking for a draw because they kept going for 90 minutes and finally the opponents tired. You get a few results like that early in the season and you start making the reputation stronger. Every team's beatable.
