But i doubt we will even spend 40.

The increase in TV doesn't mean we will have an extra 50m to spend on transfers, it means whatever the difference is with the previous tv deal may or may not be used to supplement transfers. Since we don't know the financial intricacies of the club, we don't know how this will affect our spending, costs for whatever reason may rise - wage inflation for example.

Did i say 50m from just tv rights? No!

There was something in the paper the other day about the money Premiership clubs will get from new TV deals as Sky have sold the rights or something and that even the bottom team will get 30m.

Take what we will get with the money rom reaching the final plus a bit extra from selling players and surley we can raise 50.

Did I say you said that?

NO.

That's what happens when people don't take comments at face value, they attach little invisible strings that aren't there.

He's good in Spain.

He's already had a shot in the Premiership.

Personally, I don't want him at LFC. Waste of money.

no i think he would do well - he is a "changed" player

He only appears to be a changed player because he's changed leagues.

Morientes was a good player too in the Champions League and La Liga.

But couldn't cut it here.

Forlan is too great a risk.

i feel i may have to disagree a tad thier,  :p

yes he has changed leagues, and his first stint in the prem was a tad shabby, however this was coming straight from south america, i can't really think to hand if a player has ever come straight from south america and set the prem on Fire.

He was also playing most of his games with Van Nistlerooy, (who is a greedy cnt)

His rato of games and goals in spain is 103 games/ 54 goals, which is pretty good.

I believe if he'd never been to Man Scum thier would be no stgma attached and people would be crowing for him.

I have watched him quite alot this season and i firmly believe he can do a decent job for us. He can score with both feet, both in and out of the box. He's definatly matured as a player and is stong powerful enough for the prem now.

However i'm not saying he's gonna be the answer to all our prayers, just that i understand why we're interested and i wouldn't mind him playing at Anfield.

He would be a cheaper and better option than both Bent & Torres, and possibly Eto who has no prem expeirence, and can be a bit of a champagne charlie.

:)

I think we have Kuyt who has all the attributes of Forlan. We should buy the players in the calibre of Eto'o if we are priced out for Eto'o.We should not be going for half decent players hoping they would succeed here,if we want to win the EPL.

forlan can not cut it at the prem level, the league is two fast for him, in spain they slow it down and he has time to think, here he doesnt and he would cost around 15 million i think the mancs sold him for 3!!
