So, unless your good source was reading a press release to you (which would also mean every news website in the land would have it as breaking news), I think you're maybe stretching the truth a bit.

They both had poor seasons. A couple of years back I'd have been excited about Yakubu being signed, but he looked a shell of a player at times last season.

Maybe, but i don't think he got a great deal of service last season, they were a poor side. Seem to remember him having another stormer against Chelsea though. He's not exactly my cup of tea either to be honest but i think he would probably fit our style more than Bent. He's more skillful plus does a better job with his back to goal.

yakubu...hmmm...over rated, probs high wages for average player, n exactly what we have been avoiding. another good player if we want to be avoiding fourth spot or even worse-eufa cup footie
