If u read Spanish´s newspaper, say that Eto´o is not moving to Barça... He likes play there. Its strange coz he had a lot of problems but... the money is the money...

Sincerily I do not like Eto´o here. He is a good footballplayer but his person is not good... He make problems in his team all the time...

She's Spaniard and she wrote that incorrectly. She meant he won't  leave Barcelona.

I think fans should assume that sometimes, some players are not in the market.

For instance, I don't think Villa is on the market, unless they're tempted by an absolutely ridiculous amount of money. Every top team has those players who want to keep. Liverpool would accept to sell Gerrard if someone came with 45M? no, because there would be a civil war if they sold Gerrard. Just the same way, there are other top players that are not in the market for the very same reason.

So let's all have a bit of patience. Of course if you want to be worried be so, but it's a bit too much change one day to think we're going to buy all Europe, and the next day to think that we are behind Tottenham in a race for a player!!

The best thing is to wait for the official club news. What the owners say, what Rafa says, what the players say, and all that.
Why? because they are Liverpool Football Club, and thus more trustworthy than a journalist.

Here here!
good post.If we start signing the top stars for top dollar from all over Europe we are no better than Chelski, trying to buy the league.
i think the boy Bent could surprise a few people and other players who we can nurture and turn into 20-30 million pound players.

Crouch scored more goals last season than Bent, which says it all for me.

He is a good player, but he didn't have a particularly good season, and he's not the kind of player that can make things happen all on his own. On the back of a 25 goal season you could understand a slightly mad £14-£15m valuation, but unless he's on the way for more like £8m, surely Owen's a much better bet.

The time to sign good midtable players has passed. Darren Bent is simply not good enough top play for us, we have better players in the squad.

Charlton striker Darren Bent will join West Ham for £18m in a deal that will net the 28-year-old £80,000 a week. (Daily Star)

If that all ends up to be true then thats just crazy.  The English market is way out of control and some of the prices are shocking.  Charlton insist they turned down £18 mil in Jan and that must of been West Ham also.

Well Curbishley signed him at Charlton in the first place so he'd know his capabilities, but I can't believe it'll be for 18 million. I also thought he was about 24, not 28 but I'm probably wrong. Also if Bent does go there, you would imagine Tevez would probably leave to go somewhere else. Sounds overall like a story which I wouldn't be inclined to believe to be honest but we'll see.

Exactly.

People say "oh well he's proven in the premiership" and has scored goals in an average side.

Two words, James Beattie.

And as for him going to West Ham for £18m on £80,000 a week. That club's going the way of Leeds if you ask me.
