Cant really see us going for aimar tbh, hes a brillant player with a lot of talent but the money needs spending elsewhere and with two playmakers as it is with stevie and xabi so IMO a move is unlikely, unless he is used as a second striker and stevie becomes a permanent solution for the right wing position.

Cracking little player, tore us apart a couple of times when we played Valencia. Great passer and dribbler. Might mean end of Garcia though?

Well he would be an interesting one, and IF he did arrive it would be most likely in addition to one striker rather than two. But were would this leave Luis Garcia? Aimar would be an excellent player to play off a main striker, but the truth is he couldn’t fit in anywhere else.

Too be honest I still get the feeling we are missing an intricate style player to play just between the half way line and up to the box, that player just to make us tick attackingly. Someone who has very good short passing and vision, it would create and awful lot of goals for us and improve us a lot. Someone like Aimar playing off someone like RVN would be an absolutely wonderful partnership.

Good player, mint on Champ.

As some people have suggested do we need anyone else for his style of play. If the money is cheap then why not, but lets not over spend.

He would add quality to the squad so, provided he doesn't cost a fortune and mean we can't sign strikers, I would go out and get him. He is better than Garcia! Doesn't mean we need to get rid of Luis though. The more quality the better. It's a long season afterall!!

like this player but can only see him replacing Garcia if he decides to go home

Good player, but his place in the team would mean a total change in the style we play or dropping the right or left winger or Momo.

Doubt it very much.

Liverpool have been alerted to the availability of Argentina forward Pablo Aimar, who may be allowed to leave Valencia for as little as £5m. (The Times)

Credible source for a change. At £5m it is a no brainer. He would be an ideal foil for Crouch, Fowler or ANother (hopefully Kuyt) in a new look attack!

That sounds more positive hearing it from the Times, I do like the lad, for £5m-6M he would be a steal.

Have to agree with you Mr C. At £5m he is a bargain!
