After watching the Spain Vs France game one player that stood out everytime he got the ball was Frank Ribery. With our negotiations going on with Masielle over Cisse does anyone else here feel that a swap deal would suit both parties? I know he has come out saying he wants to join Lyon but if we did put in a firm offer for him I'm sure he could be pursuaded.

I think yes, How bout you ?

Hatem Trabelsi?  He's a 29-year-old Tunisian winger/full-back.  Plays for Ajax I think.  We've been 'linked' with him, though I don't know who by.

trabelsi was linked with us back in the houllier era.
its probably a load of guff to detract from other targets.

Spanish outfit Sevilla have accepted a bid from Liverpool for Daniel Alves following weeks of negotiations.

We understand that Liverpool have agreed to fork out approximately £10.5million for the player.

Although a fee has been agreed, further negotiations are ongoing as regards how that money will be paid with Sevilla wanting a decent advance payment. The rest would be paid in instalments.

Once they agree the finer details the deal should be pushed through in no time.

Frank Ribery has been very impressive.  He is born to run.  Great pace and work rate.  We should take a look at this guy, especially if we can't get Alves.

Ribery is a good player and he could turn out to be a great player.  I said a while back after watching him play for Marseille in Europe this season that he's worth a look.  Looks suited to the English style of play too - full of running and works for the team, and a creative player on top of that.  To be honest he seems the type of player I expect Benitez would like, but he seems to have shown no interest so far.

He'd cost as much as or more than joaquin, especially after they way he has been performing in this world cup, he'd cost too much for us unfortunately.
