Grujic should stay and play here in our team.

For one we need players and the lad may as well have 6 months developing in Premier League than treading water in Belgrade.

Grujic is expected to complete his move to LFC today with an official announcement from the club expected tomorrow. CSKA Moscow & Zenit offered more than the £5m Liverpool offered for Grujic, but he had set his heart on a move to LFC. (James Pearce Liverpool Echo)

As unlikely as it may seem I think it would potentially be a massive signing for us -if- it were to happen.

This one ^^^ may actually have had legs until tonight with Rafa show the exit door. What has the game become?  :help

Faildrid has always epitomised everything wrong with football Barnesy.

Sacking Benitez after only 7 months is just the latest in the filthy and classless behaviour they exhibit as a football club.

After the Mcmanaman, Owen and Alonso debacles we should NEVER do business with these pieces of slime ever again.

The amount a manager changes Madrid do is baffling. I can't remember a coach whoes lasted their in recent time for more than 2 seasons. In the last 35 years del bosque is probably the only manager whoes lasted 3-4 years.
To be honest i don't think any manager will knock Barca off their perch while they have Suarez, Messi and Neymar.
Even though we have not won a title in years im proud to be a Liverpool fan and among our fantastic supporters. Would never want to support a team like Madrid.

Rafa was supposedly one of their own but they were waving white hankies and booing him practically from the moment he got there. He was born in Madrid, grew up there, played for Real's youth sides and their C team and was Del Bosque's number 2 when he was in charge yet they couldn't wait to stick the boot in to him.

Very little activity at the club from those involved with transfers.

Very unlikely we’ll make any significant signings in this window, if any at all. Only injuries or an approach from an agent for a player we thought was unattainable would change this.

No targets identified by the manager to bring in this window.

Club monitoring the situation of a number of young players that wouldn’t cost too much (Gomez, Ilori, etc) who have been on radar of the recruitment team for several years. Could possibly move for one or more of these if we thought a favourable deal looks possible.

There is no buy option in the agreement.

Agree - Still a shame to see one of our own get this kind of treatment.
I wonder if he'd be up for a part time role as DOF? Hint hint...

James Pearce / Echo on Grujic...

Not expecting official announcement on deal for Marko Grujic until Wednesday. Plan is still for him to go back on loan to Red Star.

Must admit it's a bit disappointing that we aren't linked with any big names, you would have thought FSG would have promised Jurgen that he'd have a few bob to spend, I couldn't imagine a manager of his profile moving somewhere where he wouldn't have any significant funds to rebuild.

Sounds like the reluctance is more on Klopp's side rather than FSG. Guess we're in for another busy summer.
