Left wing? Savio?

He put you in some big sh!t missing that Penalty on the weekend!

Savio is a class player, and the fact he's been the best of the team at his 33 years tells a lot about what's wrong in my local club's squad.

I was talking about Gonzalez mate. There are some players that in a mid team they have matches and continuous games, and they shine. When the set pieces are happening they get close to the ball and shoot it.

But the same player in a bigger club might not have that continuous games, but scarce chances. And he won't have the hierarchy to throw a free kick, men like Gerrard and Alonso are on front of him. A big club is a whole different story. And Torres in Atletico, all the team worked for him, he was the penalty taker. In Liverpool, he'd be just one more, and he hasn't the quality to be a star, like Eto'o.

Anyway, it's just a prediction, I have a sucess ratio of 50% in my predictions, so don't take it too seriously  :D

LFC shouldn't sign anymore players called "Fernando".

Throw a free kick?

???

He does appear to have pace, athleticism and quality that we need but I question his goalscoring credentials - if you combined his attributes with Owen for example - you almost have the complete striker. I agree that he is way overvalued and not in the same class as Eto'o or Drogba for example - nowhere near in my view.

If he was available for say £12m I would take it, any more, or anything like the figures previously quoted then he would be too much of a risk.

When I read a poster with your education, I'd expect a more elegant approach to correct my english mistakes. Try to rephase making a sentence writing it the correct way, and you'll teach me something in the process!  :p

Yes, for a 12M fee, I would sign him up. For an important amount of 20M, I wouldn't under any circunstances, you sum it up well.

Torres is a player that is liked because he does his best when he has the ball. When the ball is being passed by centre backs, the  TV is not focusing him and that's where he is not top class. Men like Owen or el Piojo Lopez, always are moving to the place in which they'll do more harm. And they did. And Owen was a great finisher. But Torres' movements are not this kind. And you can see often how his team's 2 lines are working, and Torres doesn't press.

If the doctors at Melwood gave the thumbs up when it comes to  his injuries, I'd definitely preffer Owen rather than Torres. No doubt. Even if he has lost pace, which I don't know, he'd use that pace more cleverly than Torres.

12M sounds reasonable.

Hopefully that will leave us some to spare for other players.

People on here immediately dismiss Forlan as not being good enough for the club, yet they are keen on Torres..

Baffling.

I like Torres but not really sure if he is the answer.  I prefer Hunterlaar.  Good point about Forlan.  He scores more than Torres does

why would we sell bells for only 5 mil we paid 7 for him and he has not done to bad so we should get that or a bit more back for him

Bellamy only scored like 5 league goals didnt he?  We should be grateful if we get the £6 mil paid.

He might not have scored many but he also didnt do much wrong and the reason his scoring record wasnt the best was that he was being asked to do a job for the team.
On your logic Abidal is worth 13.5 million but Bellamy less than 6  ???

Hmmm slight french bias some could say.

No Abidel is regarded as one of the best LB in Europe.  His played at the top level at club and International football and performed very well at that level.

What exactly has Bellamy done in his whole career?

Keep up the bias mate, it shines through like a beacon.

I read your posts with interest, and most of them read like you are against our players.
Bellamy might not have played in world cups, he plays for Wales so he is hardly likely.
But he has performed well in the premiership, and done well in his debut season in the champions league, not bad at the nou camp.
I am not trying to compare the players, Abidal may well be worth the 13.5 million quoted, but the fact that you ALWAYS seem to undervalue our players, and the way you post seem to take pleasure in doing so gets on my nerves.
Saying we would be lucky to get 5 million for Bellamy is a bit of a p!ss take.

"Torres is expected to officially sign for Liverpool on Tuesday June 19th, once the La Liga season finishes"

From wikipedia.
