I swear its true. We were leading 1-0 thanks to Simon Davies and we won 2-1 year last september.

The tannoy guy in football is a bit nuts.  Hartson scored against Latvia I think and half time he played Big John the western song.

Swansea had a guy who was sacked, who during the game would update the crowd about Cardiff results saying stuff like "The scum are losing everyone cheer"

I remember reading a whlie back that one of those really small newly formed pacific island countries (like Tuvalu and Vanuatu) had a vote on what tune to adopt for their anthem .The winning tune was POPEYE the SAILOR MAN !
Unfortunately it was overuled by the prime minister . :(

(God's truth, it was in national geographic in 2003 (?) will go through my back copies to find article )

The people of Tuvalu (and there's probably only about 100 of them) had a lucky break when t'internet was invented. Their country code was "TV" prompting loads of big companies (LFC included) to pay the Tuvalu government an extortionate fee to host their websites under a TV address to give them a snazzy web address.

The money has poured in and largely been shared amongst the poulation, making them rather happy and blissfully lazy....

....rumour has it that running water has even been replaced with running umbongo explaining the general air of Tuvalan giddiness     :D

I would have loved it (if it was them) if they entered the olympic arena . One man and a flag, to the tune of "I'm Popeye the sailor man "
