can it carve ornate objects like venus de milo or does it just make obscure shapes  ???

i think that would be a matter of personal taste. though judging by the childlike aspects of the carving even the venus de milo would end up as an obscure shape in the hands of your average woodchuck.

It carves to get wood pieces for dwelling not for artistic decoration

Humans are the only animals that adorn their habitat for artistic measure

ell not quite true theres a bird in the jungle (I forget which jungle) that decorates its nest to attract females kinda in the same way that I buy candles from Ikea to keep Mrs Taff happy  :)
