No ..cos, they were playing the french national anthem over the tannoy system...and that in the LFC end!!

Posted: Fri Mar 19, 2004 11:43 pmYou'll Never Walk Alone is a classic and I was on the Kop the first time it was sung (By the way it was sung much better and louder than the younger 'rap fed' croakers today - just kidding lads).
Those were the days when the Kop made songs up at the drop of a hat and they were just funny and witty - and always topical.
I remember when the Beatles released 'Yellow Submarine' and the Kop started singing 'We all live in a red and white Kop ..etc).
Of course the team wore white shorts those days and so the Kop really was red and white.
Maybe we should get the white shorts back out of the cupboard and start again eh!
