When I was at school I done my work experience at a local orthapedic clinic. It was quite an experience watching kids under a general anaesthetic getting their teeth pulled out. Even though they are knocked out their bodies still squirm. Very freaky to watch.

don't feel any pain at the dentist in my mouth, but they do give me quite the guilt trip that I really could do without. If I haven't started flossing EVERYDAY by now, its not going to happen lady, just shut your mouth and clean my teeth, thats what I pay you for, your not even a real dentist.

Used to hate the dentist when I was younger but doesn't bother me now. I realised that it was the injection I hated due to the wobbly lip, so now any treatment, filling etc I don't have the injection, its uncomfortable a bit during the drilling but once thats over its fine and no more of the wobbly lip for hours afterwards

I hate going to the dentist. Although I still manage a six monthly check up as am frightened that if I don't I might need work doing which will only get worse if left.

Last check up in April was ok though. My dentist is a guy and I find it really embarrassing him getting that close up!
Also I'm so scared that I have to either grip the sides of the chair or clasp my hands so tight that the whites of my knuckles show!

Btw I once went out with a lad from Lancashire and I loved his accent!
He moved down to London and decided to train himself to lose the accent which he did.Twas then that I realised that his accent was prob the most endearing thing about him...
