The bad thing about changing names is that only a fraction of the members will be reading your announcement of change, and those that login weekly or so would miss the announce, but with time they'd realise that you are you.
Another bad thing is that it's something that can't be done by moderators but only by the users that have administration rights, I think that if we all start changing the nickname every season they'll get bored soon enough of so many requests. But if the request is rare and is done by a member that has been here for ages like you, I'd understand.
Other than that, Ciggy was Cisse's gonna get ya, I think, so it wouldn't be the first time that happens.
In a nutshell do what you want!! but if you do, you'll have to explain here and there some months you're another user. Alternatively, If you do include a "Former Kewell 7" note in the signature or something!
