New section - Classic threads

Sorry people, just trying to get my mind of the game tonight.
I was on another forum earlier and came across a section called 'Classic Threads'. I had read of some of those threads and thought it was a bloody good idea.
This forum has been around long enough to have a few candidates for classic thread section. (i will have a look through and nominate some later)
Obviously the thread will have run its course, be locked then moved to the new section. So threads like WWBPTJ, just a lil tip jay jay, and the realworld don't qualify because they are ongoing.
In fact the shorter the thread the better, IMO.
So do you guys thinks its a good idea? either way please vote.
and if you have any nominations for classic threads, put them in here, with a link (if possible)
And mods could you tell us if its actually possible to set up this section?

The opinion of a mod about this, as 99'9% of the times, is as important as anyone else's.
This idea has been raised several times, both as threads and posts. And I think it's a good idea.
For me a forum is the valuable info of it, both footie wise and humour wise. It's a pitty that good threads or posters gets forgotten due to time, and thread prunning (some systems delete very old posts).
Drummerphil's threads, an old mans concerns about LFC (cannot remember his nickname redoldeyes?) and others, for instance.
The only problem I see is how to decide which are classics, but I guess it can be done.

simple.
don't make it democratic. Just get SS to move the threads.
I'm not saying we have loads of classic threads, but at this stage maybe 3 or 4.

vaguely remmeber that i think. but dunno if humiliating a dumb rival supporter qualifies. depends on the humour in there i guess.

I like it. Maybe the new section could have a thread dedicated to pics and captions.
Of course we will have to let Jmac put his 'Dr Who' picture there or there'll be trouble.

Still a good idea. If the request is not attended, this might be the "official" thread to remember classic threads.
