In Snooker, if your shot at the pink is hampered would you switch and go for the brown or would you play a safety?

when u cant pot the pink for obvious reasons its always allowable to go for the borown... it is always a much tighter pocket tho but worth the effort

After serious damage to the pocket, Im restricted to the pink. Good positioning is essential
