Well as I'm allergic to cheese, I will go on the advice of many a pizza lover and say:

Plaza's Pizza - Notts.

You missed out Deep Pan Pizza, who's Harvest Vegetable is the best of any of the franchised pizzas.  Otherwise, try the independant pizza seller in Timperley Village in Altrincham...best pizza I've tasted anywhere (and that includes Naples and New York!)
:)

None of them
If you want Pizza go to Italy or to be precise Naples

Whats this deep base with cheese nonsense

If you have to eat it in Blighty try the pizza place in Lark Lane at the sefton Park end last shop on the right hand side as you walk towards the park.  Their Sicilian is superb.

In Cardiff try Cibo in Pontcanna Street, just like the old country

While on the subject if you go to Ireland on the ferry, stay at the Backpackers in Fishguard owned by a crazy dude and for reasons unknown the chinese opposite is absolutely superb and cheap as chips.  Have a skinful then get on the ferry, great day out.

I have to disagree with you there. The Rome does way better pizzas than Naples, followed by Florence. But over there pizza is something different. Hard to explain, but it's more snack food and quick fix than a meal. If you ever go to Rome, the pizza place in central station is tip-top.

But the dutch do killer pizzas as well and Amsterdam has some brilliant Italian eateries. Nothing like falling out of a cafe and into a pizza joint. mmm...
