???

Just shows how varied comedy tastes can be. I love Phoenix Nights (even now having seen it about a million times) and Max & Paddy were hysterical in that but when it came to their own show it was about as funny as being circumcised with a blunt knife :Oo: . The only scene I can remember that was classic PN was the bit were they try to sell a Pig to a Muslim/Islamic(can't remember which) butcher :wwww

One thing M&P proved for me was that Peter Kay ain't the comedy genius everyone thought he was. His standup shows (all two of 'em) are very funny but you can see that he's got very limited material. It would seem a lot of the comedy genius of Phoenix Nights came from Dave Spikey and Neil Fitzmaurice who both had nowt to do with Max & Paddy.

saw the one where one of them tried out as a porn star, only for him to find it was with a load of body builders in a willy w@nker scene :D

i thought poor b@stard  :D

Richard Pryor was one of the funniest and most original of all...He had a very sad end to his life though...

Kharhaz wrote:Dave Allen was very funny, always made me laugh. Les Dawson, Tommy Cooper, Bob Monkhouse, Jim Davidson, Chubby Brown, Frankie Howard. Totally different types but all funny, in my opinion of course, more recent ones, Lee Evans, Jack Dee, Lee Mack, Frankie Boyle, Al Murray, Harry Hill, Rich Hall. There the ones off the top off my head thats me list for santa done !

at last someone with the 'LEGEND' roy 'chubby' brown on their list, i first saw him live 23 years ago & he has stood the test of time! he is the best story/joke stand up comic for me, he says it as it is,storys about everyday life etc as he says he's not racist, sexist,or anything else - he hates everyone.     tommy cooper another good shout, jim davidson was good in his early days, les dawson very good at the one liners.  totally agree mate that more recent ones lee evans is class, al murray is good at getting the crowd goin straight away -good to watch live. peter kay brilliant at storys everyone can relate to also, but for me the best at rolling joke after joke has to be chubby brown feck me i have had to rewind his tapes/dvds so many times where i'v missed the next joke from laughing so much, even his cassestes [feck i'm showing my age] are fecking brilliant, i had to stop playing them in the car years ago incase i crashed the car from laughing so much. i still say comedians aren't what they used to be. bring back the wheel tappers & shunters club  :D

He didnt tell another joke and had to wait for a police escort to remove him from the building. Big fat sweaty unfunny fat fk.
