I started this pole cos so many people want Houllier sacked but never say who should be his replacement. The choices are men who have been linked to the job. Feel free to make other suggestions.

I think if Ranieri was sacked at the end of the season, Liverpool should get him. That guy would surely have a thing or two to prove to his detractors & of cos, Abramovich. Otherwise, it would be great if Mourinho takes over Houllier. he's the next up & coming European coach, great tactical ability...what else does Rick Parry need to hand the managerial post to him?

I would like to see ranieri to get it and abramovich is not patient enough to keep him. O'Neill would be good too but he wont leave Celtic.

Much as I like Ranieri as a genuinely nice bloke I think he's exactly what LFC doesn't need - another manager eager to impress with tactical tinkering for the sake of it. We need a manager with steel, determination and an ability to sort out the men from the boys.

Not sure if MON will leave Celtic. Hopefully he will as he's taken them about a far as is worth taking them. The only possible thing he could achieve with them is the uefa cup cos they've got as much chance of winning the CL as Accrington f##king Stanley and another SPL title - so what?

We've all given our reasons a billion times before but for me he's clearly the man for the job. The only 2 things in debate are a) Will we get rid of GH or will he walk and b) Is MON holding out for Manure or somewhere else?

Id like Ranieri just cos he seems like a nice bloke... MON wont leave i dont think and Mourinho isnt our style... what about getting King Kenny back, if anyone knows what the fans are going through ti is him!

i can see o'neill staying at celtic for at least another season provided he's given money to spend. mourihno would be ideal.

I dont think maurihno will leave porto. they're about as eager to let him go as we are to let steven gerrard go. if houllier goes i think it could be ranieri to take over. he likes to buy new players and he could improve the quality in our squad but it would be if we got a more accomplished boss

??? Fred from coronation st. would probably amass more points than Houllier next season,I believe his ambition is to make us the feeder club for Le Havre

Call me sentimental but I went for Dalglish from the choices in the poll :p He wil certainly put the pride and passion back into the club :p

How about he comes as assistant to Alan Curbishley as mnanger ? Please don't tell me he hasn't managed a BIG club, GH hadn;t either  ???

i've been talking up curbishly for ages now. what he's done at charlton is nothing short of phenomenal. he also gets the best out of his players and talks sense (no sh#te excuses).

lets face it. how much further can he take charlton? if spurs haven't already chosen him i think he deserves the chance to manage a great club like ours.
