John Barnes   How we could do with his creativity and goals from the left now.

John Aldridge, the man in my avatar. I owe him my love to LFC. Should have never left a great club like LFC, but showed his class in Spain, where only Gary Lineker had tryumphed coming from the islands -others like Mark Hugues failed-

I might have seen better strikers than him among the Romarios, Ronaldos and Linekers, but I have never seen a more clever player in the box. And what a neck movement in the headers. Class.

P.S. Just realised it was bumped, but it's a nice discussion anyway!

John Barnes or even someone half as good would be perfect right now

I'd go for Barnes or Beardesly, midfield is strong at the moment, but we need some pentrative players and these two made the team click - awesome ahhh happy days in the league they were :)

It's a fit and raring Robbie for me, folks.

The lad was f*cking untouchable in his first few seasons. If he had managed to stay injury free, we'd have the best striker in English history on our hands. I am f*cking SURE of that.

We don't call him "God" for nothing, you know. :nod

Yeah I went for Fowler as well, if he was bangin in 30 a season we would be far closer to winning 19

Daglish for me. May not have brought the house down with his scoring record but he made things happen and would lift any team.

Definately Robbie first time around for me, absolutely phenomenal he was and in every aspect of the game.
He would score a shedload in any team, and was my hero in my teens when football takes over your life.

I can see why some would pick Barnes though, unbelievable player and scored so many goals from the wing, his crossing and vision was brilliant, not to mention dribbling, his heading.
What a player.

Imagine Barnes and Fowler in our team now.

Dreaming but we would improve by about 80% as an attacking threat i think.
