Liverpool's best 'keeper - Vote early and many times......

Time for honest reflection.

We've had some great 'keepers over the years, it took Clem 3 years to oust Lawrence before holding onto the jersey for many years, winning 5 leagues and 3 european cups amongst many other medals.

Brucie took over and whilst people remember the blunders, he was a superb athlete making many fantastic reflex saves. Safe to say Brucie's reflexes are faster than Reina's?

Then we went thru a nightmare period when we couldn't find a long term replacement.

Until a bald lad turned up from Spain with a smile on his face.
Now Reina's good its got to be said.... but better than Clem, Lawro or Brucie? Better than two but not the other?

Maybe Calamity gets your vote....  :buttrock

Lets hear your views.

I think its very hard to split Ray Clemence and Bruce Grobbelaar....but i have gone for Bruce and for me here is way.
yes he was a clown but had the fastest reaction i have ever seen in a keeper, he was able to pick the team up when they were down and was said to be great fun in the changing room. made up for any lack in size by the way he could seem to fly when he jumped.

oh yes and like any good liverpool keeper he made a few big mistakes but we still loved him.

as say its very close but he just just it.

bit harsh on Grobs that mate.none of us will never know the truth about is, he will not talk about it but some old press reporters says he was set up as the fall guy, going by what has happend over the years with other stars then there might be some truth in that.

yeah maybe, but everytime you see a game down and he does a clanger, you cant help but think its dodgy, so he cant be top

I agree with Dawson, the video of him taking a bung to throw a match means in my eyes he's a cheating tw@t that doesn't deserve to be honoured for anything he did in a red shirt (or green, depends how picky you wanna be)

He made fine saves, he won us a European cup, he was fun, he was a clown blah blah blah - he took a bung therefore he's a cheat.

Pepe would get my vote I reckon.

Lee its in his book, off you go to town.

Lakes, I'm surprised Pepe's goy such a lead in the poll as whilst he's a good keeper, Clemo who conceded just 16 goals in his best season of 42 games was technically the better man. Maybe folks are too young to remember Clem - probably the case seeing I forgot Jerzy!
