You mean something like that Mick :D

And here's something you could win money with, last season Owen played for MORE minutes in the league than Kuyt!

Owen 2177       11 goals
Kuyt  2163         3 goals

sense at last  :D

Michael owen please Rafa. he's at end of contract. has the instinct and the legs for another 3 seasons at least

We are paying for Keane in installments apparently. Owen has not signed a new contract at Geordies as it is obvious he does not want to be part of a sinking ship any longer. if we dont get him. he's going to city or arsenal, chelsea.

Robbie Keane needs 10-15 chances to score a goal and I dont rate him as a world beater.

Owen, Kuyt, Torres. the LFc dream team.
THis is the key to Title success. Even stevie wonder can see this is good Biz.
rafa, do the biz

Owen 7

Kuyt 7

Goals this season. One has been played as a striker EVERY minute he has been on the pitch. The other plays inside right.

Obviously that makes Kuyt better than Owen then.

That settles it.

Cisse was obviously better than Kuyt then aswell.

Also, I reckon you should check your facts. :nod

You ALL seem to be forgetting the quality of the teams these respective players are playing in?

If Owen was in the Liverpool Side currently, then with Torres injured, I doubt we would have drawn with stoke, blackburn, Fulham etc.

Kuyt is playing very good side, owen in cr*p side?

Owen in LFC team currently would have 15  goals in the bag already.

Fact!

Owen will go where ever he thinjs will improve his England chances.

Personally, after he screwed us out of 12 million, i would say f**k him. He’s made his bed, let him sit in mid table obscurity. Most Toon fans i know think he's a c**t anyway!

I reckon your spot on but Owen will not do his chances any harm going to Liverpool. To improve his chances of making the starting lineup he needs to go to a big club and bang in plenty. I think he'd get a better opportunity at Liverpool than any of the other top 4 clubs although I think at City he'd get more game time.

Also a good partnership with Gerrard at club level would almost certainly see him in the national side IMO.

Owen is injury prone and has lost much of his pace, although he still has great instincts.

Rafa plays us with 1 striker more often than not, Owen's loss of his blistering pace will mean he scores less goals for us then he used to. He would want huge wages. I think we should not re-sign him.

Owen is excellent at sitting on a defenders shoulder and SG is good at finding him so he could fit in to our system although he would not be good at holding the ball up and If Owen played rather than Torres I assume we would see Lucas instead of Mash to provide more through balls.

Or if he partners Torres or Keane then I would like to see SG on the right with freedom to roam a bit, although that would probably put Arbeloa more on edge and cutting out his attacks but we would have two guys up front.

Well the numbers I am hearing in the press don't seem that huge regarding his wage and IMO his intellegent running and great instict you mentioned make up for his precieved lack of pace.

He's not the player he was but he'd but he has proven to make an impact coming off the bench and I'm almost certain he'd be a 25+ goals a season player for us even playing 2nd fiddle to Torres.

But Kuyt works hard and the manager would rather have Kuyt upfront than Owen so what do you know?

I once played in a 5 a-side competition at a very high level and I am better then Danny Murphy.
