I was having a chat with another fellow liverpool fan about Luis garcia the other day and we thought his important goals during his short and successful career at Liverpool earned himself to be a Liverpool legend.

I would like to ask you the same question, would you give him a legendary status?

Sorry if there have been a discussion like that before

Not a legend in my view anyway mate. Neither good or bad enough to be a legend. I think he may have left at the right time to save his image with us, but no way a legend.

Cult Legend while he was here.

Could be the best player in the world and at times you wanted to kill him :D

Not here long enough or consistently great enough to be a true legend, IMO.  I still rate him, though, and wish we'd kept him (unless, of course, it meant missing out on Torres).

A cult Icon for me.

He'll never be remembered up there with the true legends like RUSH, Dalglish, Barnes, Hunt, Liddell, Toshack or Keegan (feck me, there's too many to put them all!! :D ).

A crackin' little player though and Benayoun hasn't come anywhere near replacing him.
THAT goal against Juve will live long in the memory for many of us I suspect!

I would say he is a cult legend yeh, too many important goals he scored which took us to finals, so at least he will be remembered as a player who makes things happen out of nothing!

Garcia is a legend.

He hates Chelsea so much, that when singing "I Can Sing A Rainbow" to his son, he refuses to say "Blue"

Legend in truest sense of the word, definitely not, nowhere near in fact. A cult hero for sure though and it's fair to say we've missed a bit of his creativity.

1.- Liverpool is not Atletico de Madrid. Neither Morientes nor Luis Garcia came back to the squad after Liverpool.

2.- He hasn't been key in Atletico, for some reason, but you'd have to ask the Atletico guests that pop up here why, I haven't seen much of them this season.

And no, not a legend, if I understand the term correctly.
