Lionel Messi.... From the matches I've seen him play, he's absolutely brilliant....

Wayne Rooney is way too hyped up by our media coz he's English.... But he's not all that brilliant...

Good?- yes.
Great? - possibly.
Brilliant? - not in my book....

Too bleedin dumb..  :no

I know he's down the road at Old Stratford but I've had to go for Rooney, I watched Messi yeaterday against Brazil and he seemed to do the same thing every time he was in possession..... He looks great for Barca but maybe Internationals stretch him too much?

I would have to go for Rooney as I feel he has more to his all round game than the rest.

Ronaldo could be world class if he cut out all the cheating, but I don't see that happening.

Robinho always looks shit hot when he plays for Brazil, but hasn't been able to find that form at club level.

Messi is the other way round, great for Barca, shit for the Argies.

I do rate Fabregas highly, one of the kids I would've really liked to see at LFC, with our Spanish connections.

Freddy Adu - Bit of an unknown quantity, looks great in the soccer world series (or whatever it is they call it) but who wouldn't, needs to move to Europe to show what he's got.

Would've liked to have seen Sissoko on the list, I do belive he will turn out to be one of the greatest players of his generation. His style of player doesn't tend to set the world on fire at his age, think of Vieira's first couple of seasons at Arsenal, but a few more years and I think we'll see one of the best CM's in the world emerge.

as much as i despise the guy, it has to be rooney. the guy's simply the best footballer this country has produced since paul gascoigne and has got the world at his feet.

just a shame he's gonna move on from manure sooner rather than later. i don't think he'll be satisfied with the odd carling cup here or there. :p  :D

After watchin' Arsenal yesterday, I'd have to say Cesc Fabregas by a mile...... He ran a Premier League game like it was a park kickabout..... Absolute quality at 19yrs old.....!!!

Would have to go with Ronaldo. As a Man Utd fan I would say that but then again my favourite player of all time is John Barnes!
